Bible Comes to Life Exhibition

The Bible Comes To Life Exhibition comes to Aldershot!

The Bible Comes to Life Exhibition has been around since 1892, but this is the first time it has come to our town. It will be here from Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th May. During the weekdays we have invited the local schools and expect nearly 1,000 children to tour the exhibition. In the evenings and on Saturday it will be open to the public.

We are excited with the potential of this unique multi-sensory experience for Aldershot. Although it has existed for 130 years, the presentation has been adapted for today and children, young people and adults have all responded deeply to it.

Are you able to help?

We need volunteers to help with the following:

  • Welcome visitors and support the team during the schools sessions (9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Please note: A current DBS check is required if you would like to help with the schools sessions.
  • Welcome visitors to the public sessions (7.30pm to 9.00pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evenings and on Saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm)
  • We also need helpers to serve tea and coffee during the public sessions, and who could be available to talk to visitors. Would you willing to do this?
  • Would you like to be in character in a costume when welcoming, and possibly tell your character's story?
  • The official opening, to which the mayor is being invited, will be on Wednesday evening (7.30pm to 9.00pm). Can you help welcome and talk with visitors, and take round drinks/nibbles?
  • We need lunches for the team and volunteers (probably 12-15 people) each day. Could you provide these (we will refund the cost)?
